The Canine Connection offers private lessons in addition to Family Pet Classes and Competition Classes. If you are interested in private lessons feel free to contact us!

Very small classes ensure plenty of individual attention. Some classes include the introduction of Agility obstacles to build confidence and teamwork.

Family Pet Classes

Puppy Play & Train

Calling New Puppy Owners! Puppy Play & Train is a 2 hour session for puppies under 20 weeks. Along with supervised play time, puppies are introduced to some of the foundation exercises while people learn how to manage their puppies for successful housebreaking, socialization and bad-habit prevention.See the schedule and register here!

"I've been a breeder, trainer and exhibitor of Labrador Retrievers for over 20 years. The Family Manners class is simply THE BEST basic class I've ever taken!" Gail F., Newtown

Family Manners

Family Manners is a 6 week class for puppies and dogs over 12 weeks. People learn how to establish leadership positvely and how to manage their dog for success. Dogs learn polite behavior like walking nicely on leash and not jumping on or mouthing people and the basic obedience commands(sit, down, stand, stay, come, leave it and settle). If you have an out of control adolescent, this is the class for you! See the schedule and register here!

"This is not your average 'march you around in a circle for an hour' class. The instructors really take time with each person to make sure they understand each exercsie."  Paula, Milford

Intermediate

Intermediate is a 6 week class for dogs who have completed Family Manners or its equivalent. This challenging class keeps dogs and people busy by presenting them with a variety of distractions and teaching them the new skills needed for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and therapy dog work. Advanced/ Intro to Agility

Advanced/Intro to Agility is a 6 week class for those who want to get the most from their dogs. Includes lifetime membership to Outward Hound . See the schedule and register here!
